Professional Cook 1

The Professional Cook 1 program operates out of the HSS kitchen in co-operation with Vancouver Community College (VCC).  The instructor, Chef Gill, is provided by VCC and the students attend M-F from 9am – 3:30pm. Beginning January 31st to June 29th, 2022.

The students in the program prepare a grab-n-go breakfast plus a full lunch option (salads, sandwiches, soups, entrees and bakery items).  As well, they often cater school based functions.  Students are required to purchase knives and a uniform which cost approximately $500 for 2022

Once you are accepted into the program you will need to attend an information session (time & date TBD) and you will be required to fill out the VCC Registration forms and pay the course materials fee.
