The Electrical Foundation program gives students the opportunity to learn the practical and theoretical skills of a first year apprentice. Students graduating out of this program will receive their level 1 training credits and 350 hours towards the completion of their first year apprenticeship program.
Students attend school from 9 am – 3:15 pm Monday to Friday Beginning January 27th to June 26th, 2020. The course is taught by Mr. Leslie who is a Red Seal Electrician. There is a strict attendance policy and students are expected to arrive to class on time ready to work each and every day. Students divide their time between classroom study/instruction and shop work. Each student is required to provide their own CSA approved Steel-Toed boots.

- Complete the Application Form and submit it to your school counselor or the Career Program Office at HSS
- Submit an updated resume to the Career Program Office at HSS
- Provide a letter of reference – can be from a teacher, counselor, employer, family friend, etc.
The Career Program Office will contact you for an interview
Once you are accepted into the program you will need to attend the information session on at 7:00 pm on November 15th at HSS where you will be required to fill out the KPU Registration forms and pay the course materials fee of $400.
